Application Development Consultant
In my former position at Levvel, I participated in 2 high visibility projects. First, development of a net new billing and
payments file generation web service. This is a critical piece of AvidXchange's partnership with MasterCard with a very tight deadline of 5 months from concept to production.
Second, I was a key participant in the development of Dentsply Sirona’s dental ecommerce content management system. This project was critical in Dentsply Sirona’s digital transformation efforts.
My role in these projects consisted of the following:
AvidXchange Billing Project:
- Leading an agile team of 4 developers and 2 QA personnel including 2 junior developers in the development of a new billing and payments file generation service
- Creating RESTful web services using C#
- Consistently achieving 80% code coverage with unit tests using Moq and NUnit framework
- Mentoring junior developers using methods such as pair programming and code reviews
- Working with Product Owners, Software Architects, and other developers to craft solutions to complex business problems
- Maintaining sprint velocity by identifying gaps in requirements and getting clarification prior to committing my team

We recently successfully on boarded our first SaaS client. As a Mid- Level .NET Application Support Analyst I was responsible for supporting a highly complex, multi-tiered customized implementation of MS Dynamics CRM. I maintained constant communication with users as well as developers in an effort to continuously improve Wells Fargo’s 3 custom implementations of MS Dynamics CRM. Because of my background in .NET development, I was also tasked to assist the development team with bug fixes and application maintenance when needed.

In this role I was responsible for coordinating the migration to MS Dynamics CRM from another legacy CRM tool. I led the development of custom database objects and managed the transfer of all CRM data using ETL packages. This assured a seamless transition while assuring the highest level of data integrity. My team also developed 3 custom plugin tools using ASP.NET to the MS Dynamics platform to meet business requirements.

During my active duty period in the Navy, I was assigned to the US Special Operations Command’s computer engineering unit. There I learned VB.NET through manual QA testing of the unit’s various geospatial software deliverables. My most notable achievement in this position was leading the initiative to automate testing using NUnit. This improved productivity by 30% and alse decreased bug-fix tickets by 50%. It was with this assignment that my passion for complex problem solving through software development was born. In 2011, I was able to transition to a junior developer role within my unit.
